Beyond infrastructure, institutional cooperation is also gaining momentum. A Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy and the Institute of Electric Power Planning and Engineering of China is set to guide the future of Azerbaijan’s electric grid. Focused on the integration of renewable sources post-2028, this collaboration will conduct transmission studies and propose technically and economically viable strategies. This planning is essential to ensuring that renewable energy can be efficiently distributed and reliably supported by the national grid.
