A possible peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine is unlikely to cause immediate disruptions in the economies of Central Asia and the South Caucasus, according to a recent report by S&P Global Ratings. While geopolitical tensions have significantly shaped the region’s economic landscape since 2022, the rating agency suggests that an abrupt outflow of Russian migrants, capital, and investments is unlikely, limiting economic volatility.
