Azerbaijan heads for COP29 with focus on commitments to sustainability & carbon neutrality
In less than a fortnight, Baku will host one of the world’s most significant conferences—the UN Framework Conference on Climate Change (COP29). This event is anticipated to draw 70,000 to 80,000 attendees from around the globe, where participants will engage in discussions on climate change issues. While COP conferences are primarily UN-led initiatives, host countries play a vital role in shaping the agenda. In this context, Azerbaijan has committed to several obligations related to COP29.
