Rossiya-24 news channel airs program on President of Azerbaijan

Rossiya-24 news channel has broadcast a program on President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The host of the program says: “The President of Azerbaijan is receiving congratulations as he celebrates his 55th jubilee. He took office 13 years ago to succeed his father, late Heydar Aliyev, being elected twice ever since by the people of Azerbaijan.”

Vesti reporter Andrey Shlyapnikov says: “Having become president at 42, he has successfully continued his late father Heydar Aliyev`s line to revive the country that was brought to its knees, preserve and strengthen independent Azerbaijan. Ilham Aliyev has ensured the rapid development of Azerbaijan and made it a country with independent economy.”

Director General of Rossiya Segodnya international news agency Dmitry Kiselyov says the most valuable criterion for Ilham Aliyev is to achieve the goals he set. “And this goal is to ensure that Azerbaijan is independent, rich, proud and peaceful.”

Film director Yuli Gusman says Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev would have been proud of his son`s accomplishments.

The program hails President Ilham Aliyev`s respect for Russian language. “There are over 300 schools in Azerbaijan where 90,000 children study in Russian.”

“Ilham Aliyev calls Russian language a door to Europe and civilization,” says Kiselyov. “And it`s no coincidence as Ilham Aliyev is a graduate of Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and still the only one to become a president,” he adds.
