Meet the artist: Mir Teymur Mammadov

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites everyone to attend the next event within “Meet the artist” programme that will help you to familiarize yourself with various mediums and techniques used by contemporary artists.
The next event will be held in YARAT Contemporary Art Space on April 10.
Those interested are kindly invited to attend event about the artistic style and vision of Mir Teymur Mammadov dedicated to the topic Clay as the foundation and source of our existence.
Mir Teymur Mammadov is the member of the Union of Artists, Azerbaijan and a Honorable member of the Union of Artists, Georgia. He also holds membership in the Union of Draughtsmen, Azerbaijan and is a laureate of the International Symposium on Ceramics. In 1998, his name was included in the "World’s record of pottery designers" catalogue.
Mir Teymur Mammadov is also the winner of the National Humay Award. In 2006, he has been bestowed with the "Ambassador for Peace” title.
The event will starts at 19:00. Admission is free.
YARAT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011.
YARAT realizes its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
