Azerbaijani cyclist ranks third in Ukraine

Azerbaijani cyclist Elchin Asadov has claimed a bronze medal at the Tour de Ribas in Odessa, Ukraine.
He secured the medal after timing 3.42.55, Azertac reported. Last year, the cyclist took ninth place at the race.
The Tour de Ribas is a one-day road cycling race held annually in Ukraine. It is part of UCI Europe Tour in category 1.2.
The history of cycling in Azerbaijan began in 1930. Today, Azerbaijani cyclists take part in many foreign competitions.
Sabzali Museyibov and Huseyn Zargarli are first representatives of cycling sports in Azerbaijan.
Besides, Tour d’Azerbaïdjan , a 2.1 multi-stage bicycle race of the UCI Europe Tour takes place in Azerbaijan around May.
