Japan’s Nonomura: Minor mistakes didn’t allow me to win gold medal
Minor mistakes while performing the program didn’t allow me to win gold medal at the World Cup in artistic gymnastics in Baku, Japan’s Shogo Nonomura told reporters Mar. 18.
Nonomura ranked the third with a score of 14.700 in competitions on parallel bars among men.
“In general, I am satisfied with my results. I think I performed well,” he said.
The gymnast added that after the competition he will watch a video of his performance to find out other reasons why he couldn’t win the gold medal.
The first day of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup finals has kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
A total of ten sets of medals will be awarded at the competitions.
China’s Liu Rongbing won the gold medal in competitions on parallel bars at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup. His score was 15.133. Meanwhile, China’s representative He Youxiao, who’s score was 14.866, won the silver medal.
