Turkmen refinery launches fuel oil processing unit
A unit for vacuum distillation of fuel oil has been introduced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) built by the South Korean consortium of LG and Hyundai, the Turkmen oil and gas ministry reported on March 30.
For the first quarter of 2016, thanks to the new unit, it was possible to produce more than 800,500 tons of fuel oil, which is becoming a valuable component for the further production of various types of oil products.
The unit is designed for processing two million tons of fuel oil per year.
Construction of cutting-edge enterprises is aimed at further increasing the output volumes of oil products, which not only fully ensures the needs of domestic market but is also exported to a number of countries of the Eurasian continent, providing additional foreign exchange income to the government, according to the message.
