Turkmenistan gets new Boeing aircraft

Turkmenistan has received the second aircraft of Boeing 777-200 LR model.
Turkmenistan Airlines, the country's national air carrier received the aircraft from the U.S. Boeing company, Turkmen government said.
The new Boeing 777-200 LR aircraft landed at the international airport in Ashgabat, becoming the second aircraft of this modification this year which was built in the U.S. by order of Turkmenistan.
The aircraft of this type can accommodate 305-550 passengers and
have a flight range of 9,100-17,500 kilometers.
"The airliners will allow to carry out flights to any continent of
the world," the government said.
The cooperation term between the Boeing Company and Turkmenistan
Airlines exceeds 20 years.
Turkmenistan will start direct flights to Malaysia, Vietnam, Canada. Turkmenistan is expanding its range of flights. New passenger flights from Ashgabat to Paris were opened in 2013.
Turkmenistan Airlines also performs regular flights to Abu Dhabi, Amritsar, Almaty, Bangkok, Birmingham, Delhi, Dubai, Kiev, London, Moscow, Minsk, Beijing, Istanbul, St Petersburg, Frankfurt and other cities.
