Turkmenistan creates State Commission for Food Security

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree establishing the State Commission for Food Security.
The commission is established to further increase the country’s food abundance, provide the domestic market with a wide range of high-quality products, according to the document.
Turkmenistan was awarded a special prize by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for achievements in the field of food security.
