Mogherini says EU-US ties deeper than any change in politics
The EU-US ties are deeper than any change in politics, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the EU Commission Federica Mogherini said on Twitter on November 9.
“We'll continue to work together, rediscovering the strength of Europe,” she added.
Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States on Tuesday.
Trump won with votes 274 in the electoral college - the winner is the first to achieve 270. He is also winning in the popular vote by a more than one per cent margin.
Clinton had just 218 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win when Trump's victory emerged, Daily Mail reported .
