Azerbaijan ships 2.4m tons of oil via Ceyhan port
Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR reported that 2,414,780 tons of Azerbaijani oil was shipped from Ceyhan port to world markets in October.
According to official figures, a total of 24,357,746 tons of Azerbaijani crude was exported to world markets through Ceyhan port in the first ten months of 2013.
The volume of oil shipped from the port to world markets since the commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is 228,024,400 tons, SOCAR said.
The total length of the BТС pipeline, which carries crude oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oil fields in the Caspian Sea to the Turkish Mediterranean coast, is 1,768 kilometers, including the 443 kilometer section running via Azerbaijan, the 249 kilometer section via Georgia and 1,076 kilometers via Turkey.
