The Belarusian government is interested in supplying oil from Kazakhstan for its processing at Belarusian refineries, Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency quoted Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusi as saying at a session of the Kazakh-Belarusian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Astana on Thursday.

"We are ready to work together to correct the current imbalance in our joint trade. We can increase import from Kazakhstan on account of raw carbon and oil products supplies to process them at our refineries," Rusi said.

Rusi added that forthcoming signing of the intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation will facilitate these supplies.

Belarus is also interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of agriculture, Rusi said.

"As one of the priority spheres for cooperation, we also consider agriculture. We offer to create a joint project on agriculture infrastructure, rural areas, design and construction of agricultural towns and dairy farms," deputy head of the Belarusian government said.
