Low water level observed in Kura River

Currently, water richness holds 150-210% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 170-230% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 40-90% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources reported.
A 1cm increase in water level was recorded in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river.
The water consumption holds 135m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 84% of decade. A 2cm decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption holds 46m3/sec, i.e 69% of decade norm.
The decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 5 cm decrease in Surra, 8 cm in Salyan, 18 cm in Shirvan, 3 cm in Banka and Novruzlu settlement of Aras. At present, water level holds 442cm (on January 16, 2016, 443cm) in Surra settlement, 333 (on January 16, 2016, 329cm) in Shirvan, 289cm (on January 16, 2016, 297cm) in Salyan, 230cm (on January 16, 2016, 224cm) in Banka, while 161cm (on January 16, 2016, 175cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
