Azerbaijani violinist to perform in London

Azerbaijani famous violinist Nazrin Rashidova will give a concert at the UK-based Hawth Theatre on May 1.
She would be accompanied by Bulgarian guitarist Stanislav Hvartchilkov. The musicians will perform compositions of Johan Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Astor Piazzolla and other well-known composers.
Azerbaijani-British violin virtuoso has been performing on stage since early childhood, making her concert debut at the age of three. Just half a year later, Nazrin performed in the Anglo-American University in Cairo. At the same time, she was already performing in orchestras in the Egyptian Capital. She was an experienced international performer by the time the Cairo Opera House awarded her a Gold Medal after an exceptional solo recital as a six-year-old.
Nazrin has had the opportunity to play a very valuable and rare collection of violins by the great violin maker, Antonio Stradivari, and she was also the first student in the history of the Royal Academy of Music, to be lent the '1707 Castelbarco' violin for a long-term period of two years.
She has also given numerous concerts and recitals in the U.S., Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Egypt, Oman, Japan and in London at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Cadogan Hall, St John's Smith Square and Westminster Central Hall.
Stanislav is a prize winner of more than twenty national and international guitar competitions including the prestigious Julian Bream Prize (RAM, 2004); Ivor Mairants Guitar Award (London, 2004); Andres Segovia International Guitar Competition for Young Players (Germany 2002); 2003 - National Radio of Bulgaria Prize "Musician of the Year" category 'Debut'. He also won scholarships and awards from Hattori Foundation, Musician Benevolent Fund and Royal Philharmonic Society.
