The talented Azerbaijani artist, well-known in the art world, Sakit Mammadov, has become an honorable member of the Academy of Art in Rome.

The artist was honored with the title for his contributions to the world culture, Azertac reported.

Moreover, the European Academy of Natural Sciences (EAEN) awarded the artist with the medal of C. Spitzweg for his contribution in visual arts.

He is one of the most famous artists, whose works are in major art galleries and private collections around the world.

Sakit Mamedov was born on August 5, 1958, in the city of Neftchala, Azerbaijan. The biography of the Azerbaijani artist is included into the Encyclopedia 'People of our millennium' which is released with the support of the Presidential Administration of Russia, Federation Council, State Duma, UN and UNESCO information center.

The artist sensitively catches the rhythms of life and able to listen and hear the time. He is the master of portraits, landscape pictures, still-life paintings and large many-figured paintings.
