Baku condemns terrorist attack in Pakistan

Azerbaijan, as the country that has suffered from terror and massacres at the hands of the Armenians, strongly condemned the terrorist attacks at a public school in Pakistan that left numerous deaths and injuries mostly children.

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a statement on December 17 condemning the heinous terrorist attacks at the public school in Peshawar city of Pakistan on December 16.

Azerbaijan expressed its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families and the brotherly people of Pakistan and wished the many injured a speedy recovery.

Azerbaijan, as a victim of terrorism, condemns terrorism in all forms and reiterates that there is no justification for terrorism at all, Foreign Ministry said.

The Ministry stressed that the country is determined to support the efforts of the Pakistani government to fight against terrorism in cooperation with the international community.

As a result of the attack, at least 132 children and nine staff member were killed and hundreds of others wounded.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif declared three days of mourning and Pakistan's army attacked the militants’ hideouts in the region.
